Irian Jaya, or West Papua, is one of the last great wilderness areas of the world. It has the contradction of tropical ice - glaciated mountains 3 degrees South of the Equator. Among these is Carstensz Pyramid, the highest peak between the Andes, Africa and the Himalaya

Built entirely from materials from the surrounding jungle, we wished that all our river crossings could have been as easy as using this bridge.
